Tokyo is a city with strict regulations against street smoking, with no-smoking signs everywhere, lurking in every corner.

One time, passing by a restaurant next to the railway,

I noticed a hand-drawn no-smoking sign at the entrance.

It looked like a heartfelt reminder from an amateur, yet it seemed somewhat helpless

Because in front of the sign stood a group of office workers puffing away, the smoke swirling up into the evening air,

seemingly ignoring the naive attempt to prohibit them.

Amidst the smoke, that hand-drawn no-smoking sign appeared somewhat cute and silly—

an idealistic stance against reality, quietly standing there without saying a word.

Inspired by that scene, I chose to reconstruct this misplaced "no-smoking symbol"

using a pixelated stitching technique, preserving its roughness and tactile quality,

as well as that essence of wanting to "change the world with a gentle tone."
