[Description]
The legend of the celestial maiden scattering flowers comes from a classic Buddhist story.
It describes a moment when Vimalakirti and various Bodhisattva disciples were discussing Buddhist teachings,
and suddenly, a celestial maiden appeared, scattering blossoms over everyone.
For the Bodhisattvas, who are unattached, the flowers naturally fell,
while for the disciples who held onto their desires, the flowers lingered without falling.
This tests the individual's inner cultivation.
The beautiful imagery of the celestial maiden scattering blossoms often appears in plays and paintings,
and is frequently depicted in the cut-and-paste sculptures on the rooftops of temples in Taiwan.
This time, the design of the celestial maiden is inspired by the roof of the Dajia Zhenlan Temple,
making her look as if she is out and about, scattering beautiful flowers to those around her.
